Introduction
It's easy to forget how incredible our planet is. From the wonders of South America to the rich history of Europe, there is something worth discovering in every corner of our world. In this video, I'll take you on a journey to some of the most amazing places on Earth. I've included timestamps so you can quickly jump to your favorite locations.
Cape Town, South Africa
Let's start our adventure in Cape Town, South Africa. This city offers both stunning ocean views and majestic mountains. One of my favorite features of Cape Town is Lion's Head, a peak that resembles a wizard's hat. You can hike to the top for breathtaking views. Another must-visit spot is Table Mountain, which can be reached by cable car. The views from the top are incredible. Don't forget to check out Camp's Bay, one of the best beaches in Cape Town.
Drakensberg, South Africa
Continuing our journey in South Africa, let's visit the Drakensberg mountains. This mountain range, located on the border of South Africa and Lesotho, offers some of the most breathtaking scenery you'll ever see. One of the highlights is Tugela Falls, the second-tallest waterfall in the world. The theater, an area characterized by massive cliffs, is also worth exploring.
Okavango Delta, Botswana
Next, we'll head to Botswana to experience the Okavango Delta. This massive seasonal swamp, visible from space, attracts wildlife during summer. Taking a boat ride through the canals and lagoons is a fantastic way to witness the abundance of animals, including elephants and red lechwe antelope.
Victoria Falls, Zambia/Zimbabwe
Our next stop is the famous Victoria Falls, located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. With a length of 1708 meters, it is one of the longest waterfalls in the world. The Zambezi River powers the waterfall, creating a unique spectacle as it plunges into a narrow gorge. Make sure to visit Devil's Pool, where you can sit in the water right on the edge of the waterfall.
Namib Desert, Namibia
Let's now explore Namibia, starting with the Namib Desert. This desert is known for its massive orange dunes and the iconic oryx antelope. One of the highlights is DeadVlei, a clay pan surrounded by towering dunes. What makes it truly special is the presence of ancient trees that died centuries ago, creating a frozen-in-time landscape.
Tanzania
Tanzania is a country full of wonders. If you're a fan of tropical vibes, don't miss Zanzibar, an island archipelago with stunning white sand beaches. The Serengeti National Park is a must-visit for wildlife enthusiasts, as it is home to the great migration of wildebeest. And, of course, there's Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa and the highest freestanding mountain in the world. You can even submit it without climbing gear!
Simien Mountains, Ethiopia
Our next destination takes us to Ethiopia and the Simien Mountains. These mountains are home to the highest point in Ethiopia and offer a unique wildlife experience. Look out for the gelada baboons, the bleeding heart monkey, which can only be found in the Ethiopian highlands.
Seychelles
The Seychelles, located in the Indian Ocean, is an archipelago with 115 islands. Known for its stunning beaches, the Seychelles is a paradise for beach lovers. Mahe, the largest island, is a great starting point for exploring the other islands. Make sure to visit Anse Source d'Argent, often hailed as one of the world's most beautiful beaches on the island of La Digue.
Madagascar
After Indonesia, Madagascar is the largest island country in the world. This unique place is home to countless plant and animal species that can't be found anywhere else. Don't miss Baobab Avenue, a dirt street lined with ancient baobab trees over 30 meters tall and thousands of years old.
Reunion Island
